Purpose and Vision

Colossians 3:16 says “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one
another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your
hearts to God.”

Through this committee we continue to provide an opportunity for our church members whether
it is children, youth, adults or senior citizens to glorify God and mature His people in their
spiritual journey.

Key activities

The committee focuses on the sanctification of the church and prayerfully selects Bible studies that nurture and help examine practical growth of the members. Some of the topics we have dealt with are ‘Conflict Resolution’, ‘Fruit of the Spirit and so on which implement Biblical truths to our spiritual lives; strengthening our area-wise Bible Study groups which form the small power-houses that build the church.
For a few decades now, the members of the Christian Education Committee are part of curriculum writing for VBS which happens in April every year. We start as early as July of the previous year with much prayer and discussions to seek God’s calling for the theme. The theme of the last VBS was “Rise, Rebuild, Restore” which was based on the book of
Nehemiah. A team of Bible-study writers were prayerfully chosen to write the lessons. After getting trained from experienced leaders which includes our very own pastors, the team sets on their journey of lesson writing across various age groups. The lessons are finally edited by our detail- oriented editors which comprises of Mrs Janet Prem, Mrs Hannah Samual and Mrs Shirley Joseph. The latest designing of our books and posters for VBS was done by Mrs Ritanjali.
To empower each one with the word of God, we have started conducting a Bible quiz every year. Many teams participate with a lot of enthusiasm and pursue a healthy competitive spirit. The quiz masters Ms Juanita John, Mrs Lisa Obedanand and Mrs Sunita Anand meticulously prepare and conduct the quiz.To empower each one with the word of God, we had a Bible quiz based on the book of Luke in which members of our church from various age-groups enthusiastically took part in on 26th January, 2025. The quiz was prepared by Ms Juanita John and conducted by Mrs Sunita Anand and Mrs Lisa Obedanand.
